This large-scale panoramic scroll relief mural depicts the story of Zhao Yun rescuing Liu Bei's son, Liu Shan, at Changban Slope. It's a large-scale relief mural based on a true story of an ancient Chinese historical figure. It uses varying heights and depths to create a three-dimensional depiction of warhorses and generals in battle. Its rich, bronze hue creates a powerful and imposing effect. Completed in December 2025, it was successfully installed at Dangyang West Railway Station in Yichang, Hubei, China.

Introduction
This large-scale panoramic scroll relief mural depicts a true story of an ancient Chinese historical figure. Using three-dimensional relief techniques, it portrays an ancient battle scene. The galloping horses, the armor of the generals, and the richly layered weapon patterns, along with the auspicious cloud background, create a dynamic and evocative scene. This story of Zhao Yun rescuing Liu Bei's son, Liu Shan, at Changban Slope vividly portrays Zhao Yun's loyalty, courage, and righteousness, his willingness to step forward in perilous times, and his fearless spirit.
This large-scale panoramic relief mural is made using a plaster casting process. Factory workers first sculpt the entire relief mural using clay, then create a plaster mold. Next, through wax pouring, wax finishing, and the creation of a protective shell, molten copper is poured to produce a rough relief mural. Craftsmen then repeatedly hammer and shape it, hand-polishing it to achieve the final high-quality product. We ultimately disassembled the entire relief mural into five pieces, which facilitates product transportation and easily adapts to the final wall installation.
