Bronze Casting Clarification
Regarding Hollow Casting
Bronze handicrafts are cast using the traditional lost-wax casting method. After the wax film is bonded to the inside and outside, it is baked, causing the wax to melt and flow out to form a shell. Molten copper is then poured in to fill the shell and allow it to cool. Directly firing it into a solid shape can easily cause the mold to crack, leading to a lower yield. For special requests requiring solid ornaments, please contact customer service for customization.
Regarding Unusual Noises
Since most copper crafts are hollow, some slurry residue may remain inside after casting, forming a mold (form). This residue is then manually cleaned. Due to the varying shapes of some copper crafts, the internal mold cannot be completely cleaned, which may cause minor vibrations during transportation, resulting in a slight noise. This will not affect the function of the craft itself.
Regarding Pinholes
During the casting process, air bubbles may appear when molten copper is poured into the mold. After the copper cools and solidifies, these bubbles adhere to the surface, forming pinholes. This is a common characteristic of Converse's manufacturing process.
