Regarding Hollow Design
Bronze crafts are cast using the traditional lost-wax casting method. After the wax film is applied to the inside and outside, it is baked, causing the wax to melt and flow out to form a shell. Molten copper is then poured in to fill the shell and allow it to cool. Directly firing it into a solid shape can easily cause the mold to crack, resulting in a lower yield. For special requests requiring solid pieces, please contact customer service for customization.
Regarding Noise
Because most bronze crafts are hollow, some of the wax film may remain inside after casting, forming a mold (form). This is then manually cleaned. Due to the varying shapes of some bronze crafts, the internal mold may not be completely cleaned. A small amount of material may be shaken during transportation, producing a slight noise. This will not affect the function of the craft.
Regarding Pinholes
During the casting process of bronze crafts, air bubbles may appear after the copper is molten and poured into the mold. Once the molten copper cools and solidifies, these air bubbles adhere to the surface, forming pinholes. This is a common characteristic of Converse's casting process.
